Facts about the cat

Facts about the cat

Cats prefer food over body temperature - the temperature of a newly killed prey. They also prefer cutting their food into inch-sized chunks (especially when they are sick and need to be lured.) And did you know that 60% of cats love cold tomato juice? I've tried the V-8 and it doesn't look tempting at all. We use this trick to get cats with kidney failure to drink more fluids.
Facts about the cat

Cats are left-handed or right-handed, which shows a clear preference for one paw over the other.

A healthy domestic cat can reach speeds of 50 km / h, but it cannot maintain this running speed for more than a minute.

The cat licks its fur to cool off in hot weather. Like dogs, they sweat through the pads of their feet. Their bristles have been specially adapted to serve as antennae. They are used to navigate, detect movements, and judge the width of the aperture. Hair is also an indicator of mood- when whiskers come back the cat gets angry, so be careful. Some people think finding a mustache is good luck. I know a millionaire woman who has a bunch of cat whiskers!

Each cat's ear is controlled by 32 muscles and can rotate 180 degrees. Humans only have 6 muscles, so our ears are difficult to move. Cat ears that are turned back or bent back are really downturned, so be careful.

Cat fur contains 60,000 hairs per square inch on the back and 120,000 hairs per square inch on the underside - no wonder cat owners have to empty their broom bags every time! Secretion is controlled by hormones, ambient temperature as well as light, even artificial. Distressed cats shed more - especially when crammed into a baby carrier and taken to the vet's office.

Big cats are very territorial. The domestic cat covers 150 acres. Their acres are clearly mixed up as we see around eight cats in our backyard every day as they make their rounds. Only one is ours - there are plenty of backyard cat entertainment items.

The human equivalent to a cat's ability to jump is to jump the width of the pool.

The sense of smell:

Humans have 5 million odor-sensitive cells in their noses - cats have 200 million. Of course, this means that they can smell the smell when you don't clean the litter box every day, and they will "pee inappropriately" because of it.

Sleeping Habits:

A healthy mature cat spends about 15% of its life in deep sleep, 50% in light sleep, and 30% on waking time. I've noticed that part of this waking time coincides with a human's sleep time. This disturbs the animal. Maybe that's why our Dagney wakes me up around 2 AM every morning by pushing his paw in my mouth. Blake! Cats achieve full alertness faster than any other creature.

Drinking milk:

Most adult cats do not contain the enzymes needed to digest milk, so if you have to feed the kittens' milk, make sure you only give them a few teaspoons at a time. Yes, too much milk causes them to have gas and sometimes diarrhea. It is a good idea to coordinate a milk distribution party with your partner or family so that they don't enjoy the double sip benefits

Neutered and neutered cats require fewer calories than healthy animals. A good rule of thumb is ½-3/4 cup per cat daily for fewer quality foods and 1/3 cup daily for higher quality foods like IAM, Max Cat, and Nutranuggets. Putting obese cats into hunger meals can kill them because liver fat breaks down too quickly, causing a condition called ketosis.

Skin disease:

I have noticed that cats suffer from skin diseases such as the smell of fish in my naturopathy practice. Cats with liver and kidney disease, such as chicken and bees, or foods that contain liver and kidneys. And cats who suffer from heart disease like heart-based foods. When the condition is fixed, they stop consuming that special flavor of the food.

Humans can hear sounds up to 20,000 hertz (cycles per second), dogs can hear up to 40,000 hertz and cats can hear up to 100,000 hertz. Cats can hear electrical currents in the wires. So amazing, eh?

Psychological: In China, pet cats have been used successfully as earthquake predictors for years.

Cats are color blind, but they only need 1/6 of the light a person needs to see.

Cats' personalities:

Cats have five toes on the front paws and four on their backs.
A multi-toed cat has more than the normal number of toes. Polly means a lot and dactyl means fingers (your Latin lesson for the day.) Polydactyls are known by various names - "cat mittens", "inch cats", "six-toed cats" and "Hemingway cats". Hemingway's cats are named after Ernest Hemingway who shared his native island with approximately 50 cats, including 6 multi-toed fingers given to him by a ship captain; Breed animals and polydactyl trait became common. Hemingway's famous cat colony mated freely with domestic cats, and the ratio of multi-toed cats to cats with normal toes was around 50/50. There is a high level of polygonal in Boston, Massachusetts, and Portland, Oregon. I love polydactyl cats because they look very friendly and tolerant of humans of all ages.

Why do you sterilize your animal?

One pair of cats and their offspring can produce up to 420,000 offspring in just seven years.

Cats love to hear whispers.

The cat has 26 facial expressions. The same parts of the human and cat brain correspond to emotion.

Cats show the following signs when stressed:

excessive grooming, lack of grooming, self-mutilation, vocalization, aggression, lethargy, loss of appetite, depression. Feliway is a great stress relief product in new situations or in multi-cat environments where they don't have enough space to feel comfortable.

Feliway is a synthetic feline pheromone used to control inappropriate urine grading behavior and reassure cats in strange surroundings.

Communicating with cats:

Cats interpret a smile that appears as aggression. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why a cat always goes to the person who hates it (he doesn't smile at the animal or makes direct eye contact!)

As long as the reference box is pointed out, feel free to use any or all of the advice above.
